Business Development Manager
You love a challenge! You enjoy client interaction and selling is your second nature. You already have some client base to tap into, to start you off.
The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our fast growing Sales team and be a part of our expanding energy management consultancy.
The individual we are looking for is a self-motivated and proactive sales professional with energy experience and with a utility brokerage/consultancy background.

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating leads and developing relationships with SMEs, using a consultancy approach.

You will be provided with all the necessary sales support from our highly trained administration team.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Setting, meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Generating sales leads, by tapping into your network of SME contacts and by using social media/online research/LinkedIn. This is not a telesales role as there is no cold calling involved.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross/up sell additional products and services Focus Assured offers into a growing customer base.
  • Planning and preparing sales presentations using pre-branded MS PowerPoint templates.
  • Reporting directly to the Sales Director with weekly progress, pipeline and sales reports from SME prospects.
  • Updating the CRM system to maintain and manage your prospects.
  • Attending the weekly sales meeting, to update the team on your progress and share best practice.
Skills Required
  • Proven sales background and B2B sales experience
  • Proven experience in the energy industry with utility brokerage/consultancy background.
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to rapidly establish relationships with prospects and suppliers
  • The ability to work both as an individual and in a team environment
  • Time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint skills
The Package
  • £24,000 – £33,000 pa (dependent on experience)
  • Individual commission structure
  • Performance bonus based on company turnover

Administration Assistant
You like to work as part of a busy team and enjoy learning new things every day! You love being organised and know how to prioritise.
The Role

We have an opportunity for the right candidate to join our busy team as an Administration Assistant. You will help to provide accurate energy contract pricing analyses for new and existing clients and working closely with one of our Corporate Account Managers, you will be trusted to handle sales administration tasks including pricing, query handling and internal documentation. You will also build strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure the smooth running of our client accounts.

You will need to be self-motivated, proactive and in time you will have the opportunity to develop into other areas of the business.

No industry experience required, full training and support will be provided.

Skills Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with an intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Good time-management and organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well within a team environment with a willingness to share and learn from others around
  • Maths GCSE or equivalent
The Package
  • £18,000 – £20,000 pa (dependent on experience)
